CTX system uses the Detection Tube as a fire detection and system activation device. Once the Detection Tubing senses the fire, the tube ruptures and the resulting drop in pressure causes the CTX Valve to activate. This diverts most of the flow from the Detection Tube to the larger Discharge ports. ColdFire® is then discharged from the cylinder through the Detection Tubing and Discharge Tubing to the Nozzles, covering the area and suppressing the fire quickly and thoroughly. This system is typically used in larger areas that require a high volume of ColdFire® to effectively suppress the fire. Multiple nozzles may be added to meet the application requirements. The system is totally automatic and is totally independent of electricity. The suppressant has to be added during field installation with your choice of liquid ColdFire® based on temperature requirements. All systems must be pressurized to 175psi using ONLY Nitrogen gas.
